FORWARD 2026: Key Insights on Artificial Intelligence, Investment, and Internationalization for Global Business

On Wednesday, October 28, the event FORWARD 2026 took place at Mana Tech in Miami. Organized by the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce Miami, this gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and experts to discuss key opportunities transforming corporate management, technology adoption, and global commercial relations.
A Driving Force for Internationalization and Commercial Relations
During the session, which coincided with the commemoration of the chamber's 50th anniversary, the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce Miami reaffirmed its role as the organizational engine of the gathering, providing a space for connection for the Inter-American business community. Panel discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening trade ties between Colombia and the United States, recognizing the U.S. market as the primary destination for value-added exports.
In this context, Juliana Villegas, Director of International Promotion and Business Development at Araújo Ibarra, emphasized the need to align export offerings with the technical and regulatory requirements of the North American market. She also noted that internationalization should be approached as a strategic, long-term commitment backed by rigorous data and continuous planning. Meanwhile, capital dynamics, the macroeconomic environment, and investment perspectives across the region were addressed by Fernando Barreto, Director at BlackRock.
Practical Application of Technology and Corporate Cybersecurity
The agenda also explored the practical impact of digital transformation within organizations. José Javier Cordero, Co-founder and Commercial Director at Revelum, presented real-world case studies on integrating artificial intelligence into business processes, detailing how autonomous agents help optimize operations, streamline transactions, and reduce structural costs.
In addition, digital risk management and data protection were analyzed by Hernán Rodríguez, Founder and Executive Director at Pantera. The discussion examined the current state of cybersecurity amidst the rise of digital threats such as identity impersonation and deepfakes. Speaker insights provided concrete recommendations for implementing prevention protocols, securing information assets, and training teams to mitigate technological vulnerabilities.
